~ ANNOUNCEMENTS ~
NOTE THESE CALENDAR CHANGES: This Sunday Sept. 28 we will observe World Communion Sunday one week early, at both worship services. This is because on the following Sunday, Oct. 5, we will have one worship service at 10am. This will be our Pioneer Worship Service in observance of Oswego’s 175th anniversary. You are encouraged to wear western or country dress, and worship will be followed by a soup and cornbread lunch. Please take note of this one-time special worship and please plan to attend!
ELECTRONIC GIVING IS NOW AVAILABLE Electronic contributions are now available for Good Shepherd contributors! This online service, called E-Giving, is offered through Cokesbury, our current Offering Envelope Service. Contributions can be transferred electronically to Good Shepherd directly from a bank account (checking or savings) or can be charged to a credit/debit card. Contributions can be made as a one-time or recurring (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) transaction.
The E-Giving service was tested during the month of September by church staff/leaders and was found to work simply and efficiently. If you would like to sign up for E-Giving and free yourself from the need for Offering Envelopes and check writing, follow the simple steps outlined on the enclosed insert. Be assured that you may change or end your electronic giving options at any time. For questions or assistance, contact Cathy or Diane in the church office.
REMEMBER: NEXT SUNDAY October 5 we will have one worship service at 10am. This will be our Pioneer Worship Service in observance of Oswego’s 175th anniversary. You are encouraged to wear western or country dress, and worship will be followed by a soup and cornbread lunch. Please take note of this one-time special worship and please plan to attend!
Our regular worship schedule resumes the following Sunday, October 12, when our United Methodist Women will be in charge of worship. We will have the more traditional format at 8:30 and the Soul Journey worship at 10:00 a.m.
